Lido Atelier

Lido Atelier is a founder-led coastal experience studio offering small-group harbour and ocean-pool days for women drawn to the restorative rhythm of water.

Each experience is intentionally intimate (maximum six women) and personally curated — from calm, confidence-friendly immersion in Sydney’s iconic ocean pools to scenic ferry crossings, coastal walking and unhurried pauses by the water.

Small-Group Coastal Days for Women

Each coastal day is designed around the rhythm of water.

We meet in the city before travelling by ferry across Sydney Harbour — the most beautiful way to move through it. From there, we walk at an unhurried pace along calm foreshore paths, pause for optional harbour or ocean-pool immersion, and finish with coffee by the water.

Maximum six women.
No performance.
No rush.
No expectation to dip beyond your comfort.

Who This Is For

This experience is for women who:

• Feel drawn to the ocean but prefer calm, confidence-friendly conditions
• Travel solo or with one close friend
• Value intimacy over large group tours
• Want a thoughtful, local experience rather than a checklist itinerary
• Crave immersion and beauty without intensity

It’s not a fitness event.
It’s not a crowded tour.
It’s a composed coastal day, hosted with care.

What is Lido Atelier?

A lido is a seaside swimming place — a space where water, ritual and community meet.

An atelier is a design studio.

Lido Atelier brings these ideas together: thoughtfully curated coastal experiences shaped with a designer’s eye and a deep respect for the rhythm of the sea.

Why We Travel by Ferry

We travel by Sydney ferry — not simply as transport, but as part of the experience.

Gliding across the harbour is how locals move through the city: unhurried, scenic and woven into daily life. It allows you to experience Sydney from the water before stepping into it.

Arriving by ferry creates a natural pause — a gentle transition from city pace to coastal rhythm.

Private vehicle transfers are available on request.

Lido Atelier — Created by Paula Fletcher

A boutique coastal experience and lifestyle brand, shaped by a lifelong love of the sea.

I’m Paula — a building designer, mother and former accountant who found her true rhythm in the ocean. I’m not a competitive swimmer; I don’t swim for pace, I swim for peace.

The sea is where the noise in my head drops away and I can just be. I scream underwater, laugh on empty headlands and dive in even when it’s freezing, because if I stay away too long, my soul starts to ache.

Lido Atelier was born from that pull to the coast: to create slow, salt-soaked days for women who feel the same — women who need space, silence, design, nature and a moment to feel whole again.

We walk the headlands, swim in rock pools, eat well, talk softly and laugh loudly. Along the way, many of us rediscover a lightness we thought we’d lost.

Our retreats are rooted in the coastlines that have shaped my life — from years of family holidays on the South Coast of NSW to countless mornings in Sydney’s ocean pools — and in the places I hope to spend more and more time in the years ahead.

Northern Beaches Rock Pools

Indulge in a beautifully curated half-day along Sydney’s wild northern coastline, where sculpted ocean pools, open headlands and the rhythm of the Pacific come together in effortless harmony.

This intentionally intimate small-group experience (maximum six women) begins with a gentle guided wander between a select few of the Northern Beaches’ ocean pools and lookout points — unhurried, scenic and thoughtfully paced. Along the way, we pause for an optional dip (or simply to sit, breathe and follow the tide), followed by morning tea by the water.

It’s a calm, design-led way to experience this stretch of coastline — without the crowds or guesswork. You’ll return feeling sun-warmed and restored, having seen the Northern Beaches in the way locals do.

What is a Rock Pool?

Sydney’s rock pools — also known as ocean pools — are public seawater pools built into the coastline.

Carved into headlands and protected by surrounding walls, they offer the beauty of the open ocean with calmer, more contained conditions.

They are a much-loved local tradition and a uniquely Sydney way to experience the sea.
